Chicago Public Schools and Science Olympiad are proud to enter the 12th year of the Urban Schools Initiative (USI) program for 2018-2019, with more than 35 middle and high schools represented. "After participating in Science Olympiad and winning two medals at the Regional Tournament, I decided I wanted to major in science," said a member of the Steinmetz High School Science Olympiad team.
She went on to major in biology at Northeastern Illinois University! In 2014, Lane Tech High School Coach Scott Vessalo and his student, Robert Harris, were selected to represent Science Olympiad at the White House Science Fair hosted by President Obama.
